Abstract:

The invention relates to a new type piston of internal combustion engine. The piston includes a piston head. A valve pit is provided on the piston head. A surface protrusion (1) is provided at one side of the head, which mates with the inner surface of the combustion chamber with certain gap therebetween. A small protrusion (2) is provided at another side of the head. There is a pit (3&rcub between the two protrusions, said pit has a three-dimensional ellipsoid shape. The adjoining surfaces of the protrusions and the pit have smooth transition. When the piston cooperates with the cylinder, strong turbulence can be formed in the combustion chamber. So that the fuel and air can min sufficiently, thereby the combustion speed can become faster, the heat circulation efficiency can be increased, the fuel consumption can be decreased, and the pollution can be reduced.
