Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a node switching method and a related device. A source host node sends a switching request message to a target host node, the switching request message comprising context information of an IAB node and context information of at least one terminal device; and the source host node receives a switching response message sent by the target host node, the switching response message comprising an identification of an accepted terminal device in the at least one terminal device, and/or an identification of a rejected terminal device in the at least one terminal device. In this way, a terminal device accepted by the target host node among the terminal devices connected to the IAB node can be switched to the target host node, so that the IAB node and the accepted terminal device are switched to the target host node together, thus ensuring normal transmission of data of the accepted terminal device.
