Abstract:
A non-aqueous secondary battery having a sufficiently small charge/discharge irreversible capacity at an initial cycle time even if an active substance layer having a cathode active substance material on a collector is made higher in density to achieve a higher capacity. A non-aqueous secondary battery-use graphite composite particle characterized by fulfilling requirements (1) and (2); (1) DL/DS is larger than 1 and up to 2 when a volume-based median size as measured with a laser diffraction/scatted particle size distribution measuring device is DL μm, and an average circle-equivalent particle size obtained from the measured area S of particles of which the outlines do not overlap the outlines of the other particles is DS with an SEM, (2) a Raman R value, which is an intensity ratio IB/IA between a maximum peak intensity IA in the vicinity of 1580 cm-1 at Raman spectrum and a maximum peak intensity IB in the vicinity of 1360 cm-1, is at least 0.04 and up to 0.14.
