Abstract:
[Problem] To effectively charge the built-in batteries of various battery built-in devices by making a power transmitting coil approach a power receiving coil. [Solution] In a non-contact charging method, a power transmitting coil (11) is made to approach a power receiving coil (51) at a position detection timing for detecting the position of the power receiving coil (51) of a battery built-in device (50) mounted on a charging pedestal (10) and at an approaching timing for making the power transmitting coil (11) approach the power receiving coil (51), the position of which is detected at the position detection timing. When the position of the power receiving coil (51) cannot be detected at the position detection timing, the undetected state of the power receiving coil (51) is notified as an undetected timing, after which the battery built-in device (50) is moved by the user to a set position where the battery built-in device (50) is set and then the position of the power transmitting coil (11) is finely adjusted so that an optimum electromagnetic coupling state is obtained and the power transmitting coil (11) is made to approach the power receiving coil (51) to obtain a charging timing. At this charging timing, power is supplied from the power transmitting coil (11) to the power receiving coil (51), thereby charging a built-in battery (52) of the battery built-in device (50).
