Abstract:
A non-contact power transmission apparatus (1) transmits power in a non-contact manner between a power feeding coil (L1) and a power receiving coil (L2). The non-contact power transmission apparatus is provided with: a metal member (M); a power feeding unit (13), which feeds power to the power feeding coil; a measuring unit (14), which measures the relative position of the power receiving coil with respect to the power feeding coil; and a control unit (15), which controls the power feeding unit. The control unit changes the power such that an induction current flowing in the metal member corresponding to the relative position measured by means of the measuring unit becomes small. The present invention is capable of providing the non-contact power transmission apparatus and a non-contact power transmission method, whereby the induction current flowing in the metal member can be limited, even if the relative positional relationship between the power feeding coil and the power receiving coil is changed, and overheating of the metal member can be suppressed.
