Abstract:

Provided is a non-contact power transmitting system, which is capable of optimizing impedance matching, and is capable of reducing deterioration of transmission efficiency. This non-contact power transmitting system is provided with: a power supply means (3) that is provided with a power supply-side coil (7) to which power is supplied; and a power receiving means (5), which is provided with a power receiving-side coil (9) that is electromagnetically induction-coupled to the power supply-side coil (7). The non-contact power transmitting system is also provided with a capacitor (8(11)), which constitutes a resonance circuit by being connected in parallel to the power supply-side coil (7) and/or the power receiving-side coil (9), and which has a capacitance value variable such that a resonant frequency of a resonant circuit in the cases where the power supply-side coil (7) and the power receiving-side coil (9) are critically coupled to each other at a predetermined coil-to-coil distance, and a resonant frequency in the cases where the coils are overcoupled to each other at a distance of the predetermined coil-to-coil distance or less accord with each other.
