Abstract:

A non-woven fabric for a gypsum board, characterized in that it comprises 20 to 60 mass % of a glass fiber, 10 to 50 mass % of an organic fiber and 10 to 50 mass % of a fibrous binder, and it contains the organic fiber at least on the surface contacting with the gypsum core; and a method for producing the above non-woven fabric. The above non-woven fabric comprising a glass fiber is arranged on one or both surfaces of a gypsum board and used as a reinforcing material for the gypsum board, exhibits good strength, softness and resistance to water, is reduced in the stimulation to a skin and further has a surface which can be easily decorated.
