Abstract:
A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with: an electrode body which is obtained by winding a positive electrode and a negative electrode, with a separator being interposed therebetween; and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution. This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is characterized in that: the negative electrode (12) comprises a negative electrode collector (30) and a negative electrode mixture layer (32) that is arranged on the negative electrode collector (30), while containing an Si-based material; the negative electrode mixture layer (32) comprises a pair of end-part mixture layers (34) which are arranged on both ends in the width direction D2 that is perpendicular to the winding direction D1 and a center-part mixture layer (36) which is sandwiched between the pair of end-part mixture layers (34); and the average particle diameter of the Si-based material in the pair of end-part mixture layers (34) is larger than the average particle diameter of the Si-based material in the center-part mixture layer (36).
