Abstract:
Provided is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell wherein the capacity of the secondary cell can be prevented from being reduced in charge/discharge cycles at a high temperature (not less than 45°C). In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell, an electrode element obtained by stacking a positive electrode and a negative electrode, an nonaqueous electrolytic solution containing a carbonate solvent, and a gel are contained in an exterior element of the secondary cell. The negative electrode contains silicon oxide designated by SiOx (0 < x ≤2) as a negative-electrode active material. The gel contains a cross-linked unsaturated carboxylate ester copolymer and a carbonate solvent identical to the carbonate solvent contained in the nonaqueous electrolytic solution.
