Title:
NONAQUEOUS-ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY CELL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/212597
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide, in a nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary cell having a capacity and size conceived for high energy density, a means that can minimize the incidence of internal short circuiting in a power generation element when the cell has been damaged from the exterior. [Solution] A nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary cell having a power generation element that includes: a positive electrode obtained by forming, on the surface of a positive-electrode current collector, a positive-electrode active-material layer including a positive-electrode active material; a negative electrode obtained by forming, on the surface of a negative-electrode current collector, a negative-electrode active-material layer that includes a negative-electrode active material; and a separator that includes a plastic film, the volume energy density of the nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary cell being 350 Wh/L or greater. Tensile yield strength at normal temperature is 14 MPa or less, tensile elongation at break at normal temperature is 100% or more, and at least one direction at which the heat shrinkage under heating at 150°C for one hour is 10% or less exists in the planar direction of the separator.
