Abstract:
A novel compound which releases 5-fluorouracil, 2'-deoxy-5-fluorouridine or 5-fluorouridine upon irradiation with radiation but which itself shows an extremely small toxicity and a medicine containing same are disclosed. The oncostatic agent is concentratedly given to a tumor-affected part by administration of this compound to tumour-affected patients and subsequent irradiation with radiation of the tumour-affected part or therearound, thus attaining effective treatment.
