Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel compound having an inhibitory effect on fibrosis. The present inventors found that the compound had the effect of inhibiting actin polymerization, and reduced not only the levels of various fibrosis biomarkers, but also effectively inhibited the expression of α-SMA, a major causative factor of fibrosis. Therefore, the novel compound according to the present invention is useful for the prevention and treatment of fibrotic diseases as a therapeutic agent having excellent effects of alleviating and inhibiting fibrosis.
