Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of pesticides, and relates to a novel defoliant and an application thereof, and in particular, to an application of a polyether compound in preparing a defoliant. According to use of at least one of the polyether compound as represented by formula I or salts thereof in preparing a defoliant or a defoliation synergist in the present invention, R1O(CH2CHOH)nR2 I, wherein R1 is hydrocarbyl or phenolic; R2 is -H, -O(CH2CHOH)mH, or -O(CH2CH2CHOH)mH; n is 1-50; m is 1-50. The compound of the present invention is a novel defoliant, is low in costs and convenient to use, has a good defoliation effect, and is safe for the environment.
