Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel Geobacillus sp. strain and a use thereof, and more specifically, to: a novel Geobacillus sp. strain isolated from soil and having very excellent organic waste decomposing activity; and a use thereof. The strain may decompose all of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, and at the same time, is salt-tolerant, and thus may be very effectively grown even in excreta and food waste containing a large amount of salt. In addition, the strain does not contain an enzyme causing malodor when decomposing organic matter, and thus may be very adequately used for decomposing organic waste. In addition, the cultivation process of such strain is comparatively simple, and thus costs may be reduced, and the strain has a benefit of being environment-friendly compared to conventionally-used chemical decomposition methods.
