Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel NF-κB inhibitor which has a more effective and higher bioavailability and is more suitable for clinical application. More specifically, the purpose of the present invention is to find a non-epoxy compound which recognizes a domain including Cys-38 of RelA and neighboring amino acid sequences, and which has an NF-κB inhibitory efficacy and can be used for clinical application. The present invention provides a novel jietacin derivative having an excellent NF-κB inhibitory activity. In other words, the present invention provides an azoxy motif as a class of NF-κB inhibitors having a novel and useful backbone. More specifically, the present invention relates to a compound represented by the following general formula, an NF-κB inhibitor containing said compound as an active ingredient, and the like.
