Abstract:
A novel self-filtering narrowband organic photodetector, the detector sequentially comprising a substrate (1), a positive electrode (2), a P-type layer (3), an N-type layer (4), and a negative electrode (5), wherein the P-type layer (3) can be further separated into a single-layer P-type layer structure and a multi-layer P-type layer structure. In the single-layer P-type layer structure, a band gap width of P-type layer material is greater than that of N-type layer material. In the multi-layer P-type layer structure, at least one P-type layer material not in direct contact with the N-type layer (4) has a band gap width greater than that of N-type layer material and/or that of P-type layer material in direct contact with the N-type layer (4). A buffer layer (6) is added between the positive electrode (2) and the P-type layer (3) and/or between the N-type layer (4) and the negative electrode (5). The organic photodetector achieves unrestrained selection of a detection spectral band and unrestrained adjustment of the full width at half maximum without a bandpass optical filter.
