Description:
NOVELTY AT STATIONARY AND FOLDING TUBE USED AT INTERCONNECTION

OF RIFLES AND STOCKS

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to stationary and/or folding tube that allows adjusting the length of the stock at all rifles, firearm or not, according to the shoulder and arms of people, and that further allows folding of the stock.

In particular, the invention relates to manufacturing the stationary part and the moving part of the said stationary and/or folding tube from hard plastic material, and the parts for connecting to the rifle and the stock from metal sheet material.

PRIOR ART

The stocks are telescopic or stationary parts of the firearms that can be folded downwards or sideways, manufactured from plastic, wood or metal, and used for damping the recoil at firearms such as rifles, guns, etc. arising from the shot via the strength of the shoulder by leaning the stock to the shoulder. Said stocks are connected to the rifle body and positioned according to the user by means of the cylindrical folding or stationary tube.

The folding tube and the stationary tube is the piece that allows adjustment of the stock length at all rifles, firearm or not, according to the shoulder and arm of the people, and that further allows folding of the stock. Said stationary and folding tubes are generally processed from hard metals and aluminum-aluminum alloys via machining methods.

As production of the stationary or folding tubes of the prior art is performed via machining processes, the time required for the production process is long and the workmanship required for the process is laborious. Furthermore, due to their production by means of the machining processes, the cost of the metallic tubes is extremely high, and their machinability is low. The folding and the stationary tubes suffer from deformations in case of any impact that would be received to the stock in the available products. Another disadvantage is that malfunctions might occur occasionally as a button is used for the action of the folding tubes. When patent-utility models available in the state of the art are reviewed, an investigation of our utility model application with registry number“2015 10297” filed by us revealed that the construct mentioned as rail numbered 5 appears to be equivalent to the stationary tube frame of our invention. Said document indicates that the part denominated as rail is made of rigid plastic; however, although there is no information available on the part equivalent to the folding tube auxiliary frame of our invention, it is comprehended that it is made of metallic material.

Upon reviewing the patent-utility models available in the state of the art, an investigation of our utility model application with registry number“2015 08545”, again filed by us, revealed that the auxiliary frame piece equivalent to the folding/ auxiliary tube frame is made of plastic.

In conclusion, the presence of the aforementioned problems and the inadequacy of the existing solutions have revealed the necessity for improvements in the technical field concerning the tube that allows connecting of the stationary or folding stocks with the rifle body.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

The primary object of the invention is to manufacture the stationary and auxiliary frames of the stationary and/or folding tube from rigid plastic material in order to reduce the amount of workmanship required and to increase mass production rate, as well as to reduce the cost of the product.

The object of the invention is to manufacture the assembly apparatus on the stationary body where the stationary or folding tube is connected with the stock and the assembly portion on the folding/auxiliary body for connecting to the rifle body from sheet metal material and to embed the same in rigid plastic bodies in order to prevent deformation at the spots where the tube is connected to the stock and the rifle.

Another object of the invention is to ensure attachment of rifles and stocks of different sizes with each other by means of the tolerance grooves located on the assembly apparatus that allow connection of the stationary tube body to the stock.

Yet another object of the invention is to ensure easy and swift action of the folding/auxiliary body by means of a centering pin and spring. The structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention shall be comprehended more clearly by virtue of the figures provided hereunder and the detailed description provided with reference to such figures, and therefore assessment should be made taking into account said figures and detailed description.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In the present detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the stationary and folding tube (A) of the invention used for interconnecting the rifle and stocks are explained only for better understanding of the subject and are not intended to be limiting in any way. One of the primary functions of the tube (A) of the invention is to establish the connection between the stock and the rifle. Another function is to enable adjustment of the stock length according to the shoulder and arm of the user, and to allow folding of the stock. In its most fundamental form, the invention contains stationary body (1) connected with the stock and the folding/auxiliary body (2) that allows movement of the stock relative to the rifle by being connected with the rifle (Figure-1).

The stationary body (1) of the tube (A) of the invention is manufactured from rigid plastic material by means of plastic injection method using metal formwork. A bearing (1.1) is formed at the bottom side for connection with the stock. Said bearing (1.1) is formed by means of injection via the formwork and requires no extra workmanship. An assembly apparatus (1.2) made of sheet metal material and allowing connection of said stationary body (1) with the stock is positioned at the bearing (1.1) portion. As assembly apparatus (1.2) is in constant contact with the stock, it is manufactured from sheet metal material in order to avoid rapid deformation thereof. An annular shaped centering slot (1.3) is formed in order to assemble said stationary body (1) to the folding/auxiliary body (2). Said centering slot (1.3) and the centering bearing (2.1) formed on the auxiliary body (2) are assembled to each other by superimposing both parts and inserting the centering pin (1.3.1) and the centering spring (1.3.2). By means of the center so formed, the auxiliary body (2) is capable of moving at angles between 0-180° at the end portion of the stationary body (1), thus allowing the stock to align with the rifle body or to fold so as to be parallel to the rifle body. There is a locking tab (1.4) arranged on the stationary body (1) and that allow the stationary body (1) and the folding body (2) to be aligned, i.e. to ensure stable 0° angle (alignment) between the stock and the rifle, as being inserted into the lock slot (2.2) available on the folding body (2) (figure- 2) .

The invention concerning the tube (A) of the invention used for interconnection of the rifle and the stocks relates to manufacture of both the stationary body (1) and the folding/auxiliary body (2) from rigid plastic material. Said auxiliary body (2) is also manufactured using rigid plastic by employing plastic injection method. The belting slot (2.3), to which the tumpline will be connected on the auxiliary body (2), is manufactured by placing a retaining ring made of steel.

There is a plurality of tolerance grooves (2.4) arranged on the auxiliary body (2) of the invention made of plastic in order to assemble the tube (A) to firearm bodies with distinct tolerance values. Aforementioned plurality of tolerance grooves (2.4) bulge and ensure ease of assembly when installing the tube (A) to the rifle body. Furthermore, the bulging of said tolerance grooves (2.4) allows tight and void-free attachment of the tube (A) to the rifle, thus preventing any shaking and vibration when using the rifle.
