Title:
NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE DEVICE, AND MICROCRYSTALLINE STRUCTURE ANALYSIS METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/045490
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a nuclear magnetic resonance device and a microcrystalline structure analysis method with which a nuclear magnetic resonance signal that is effective for crystal structure analysis can be detected, even with a specimen with which said effective nuclear magnetic resonance signal cannot conventionally be detected. A nuclear magnetic resonance device 1 which excites nuclear magnetic resonance by radiating pulsed electromagnetic waves at a sample disposed in a static magnetic field, and detects a nuclear magnetic resonance signal generated by the nuclear magnetic resonance, is provided with: a static magnetic field source 4 which generates the static magnetic field; a transmitting and receiving unit 5 for radiating the electromagnetic waves and detecting the nuclear magnetic resonance signal; a rotating mechanism 10 which causes a sample container 2 in which microcrystals 3 are suspended to rotate at a variable speed, in such a way that the sample container 2 rotates at a variable speed in the static magnetic field in order to apply a time varying magnetic field thereto to three dimensionally orientate the microcrystals; and a control unit 7 for controlling the transmitting and receiving unit 5 to radiate the electromagnetic waves in synchronism with the variable speed rotation of the sample container 2.
