Abstract:
Provided is a nuclear reactor building with which the structural strength and earthquake resistance can be improved. A nuclear reactor building (1) houses a nuclear reactor containment vessel (2), and a used fuel storage pool (3) that is disposed on the top side of the nuclear reactor containment vessel (2). The nuclear reactor building (1) comprises: a cylindrical protective wall (8) that is disposed on the outside of the nuclear reactor containment vessel (2); a dome-shaped protective roof (9) that is provided on the top side of the protective wall (8); and a plurality of spoke walls (11A)-(11J) that extend horizontally so as to connect the nuclear reactor containment vessel (2) and the protective wall (8), and that extend vertically from a foundation slab (4) to a top slab (5).
