Abstract:
A nuclear reactor containment structure comprising: a nuclear reactor containment container (10); a nuclear reactor containment chamber (11) provided within the nuclear reactor containment container (10) and containing the nuclear reactor; a pool (12) which is provided within the nuclear reactor containment container (10) at a position below and adjacent to the nuclear reactor containment chamber (11) and in which an emergency cooling liquid (W) is contained; openings (11b, 11c) for allowing the emergency cooling liquid (W) to flow from the nuclear reactor containment chamber (11) into the pool (12); a sump (13) provided below the pool (12); a debris filtration body (14) provided to the sump (13) and filtering debris (D) contained in the emergency cooling liquid (W); a pump device (20) for sucking the emergency cooling liquid (W) from the sump (13) and discharging the liquid to the inside of the nuclear reactor containment chamber (11); and a dam (30) provided to the opening (11b), which is one of the openings (11b, 11c) which is closest to the sump (13), and limiting the flow rate of the emergency cooling liquid (W) flowing from the containment chamber (11) into the pool (12).
