Abstract:
The present invention sets an equation of state that is an ordinary differential equation, which includes terms obtained by multiplying a state variable vector term indicating a state and an input vector term indicating an input, by first and second coefficient matrices, respectively, and that has a form of a difference equation relating to a discrete time determined by a predetermined calculation step. The first and second coefficient matrices each include a finite-order first matrix power series composed of a power term of a product of a constant matrix and the predetermined calculation step for approximating a matrix exponential function. A Yummy matrix calculation means 502, which is an advance calculation means, separates a calculation step into a temporally invariable time-invariant calculation step hexp and a temporally variable time-variable calculation step h, and calculates in advance a Yummy matrix, which is a finite-order second matrix power series composed of a power term of a product of the time-invariant calculation step hexp and a constant matrix A, and a first constant coefficient matrix and a second constant coefficient matrix based on the Yummy matrix, before an arithmetic operation for solution of the equation of state. An equation-of-state calculation means 509 executes an arithmetic operation for solution of the difference equation while calculating the first coefficient matrix and the second coefficient matrix by a simple multiplication arithmetic operation between the first and second constant coefficient matrices calculated by the Yummy matrix calculation means 502 and the time-variable calculation step sequentially calculated by a pulse signal measurement means 508. However long the order N of matrix exponential approximation may be, the power series part can be calculated in advance as the Yummy matrix. Therefore, it is possible to execute an arithmetic operation for solution of the equation of state with high accuracy in a short calculation time.
