Abstract:
A numerical control device (1) comprises: a tool end-of-life date prediction means (341), a tool replacement date prediction means (342), and a prediction information output means (401). The tool end-of-life date prediction means (341) predicts a tool end-of-life date for a tool in a tool group on the basis of: a tool life expectancy value that indicates the life expectancy of the tool and is calculated using tool wear level, usage time, or number of times used; and tool usage time or number of times used as specified by a machining program included in an operation schedule. For a tool in the tool group, the tool replacement date prediction means (342) identifies, as a simultaneously replaceable tool, another tool, from among the tools in the tool group, for which replacement due to having reached end of life is permitted when the first tool reaches the tool end-of-life date in a case where machining has been performed according to the operation schedule. The prediction information output means (401) displays, on a display unit (20), replacement prediction information for a tool in the tool group, said information including tool type, tool end-of-life date, and simultaneously replaceable tool type.
