Abstract:
A numerical control method which obtains in advance uppper limit feed speeds in accordance with the machining state and a permissible machining error, and limits the feed speed during the machining to the upper limited feed speed, thereby reducing machining errors caused by delay in a servo system to within a permissible range. When NC data read through a tape reader (102b) from an NC tape and decoded by a decoder (102a) is path data, the data (Xc, Yc, Zc) is preprocessed by a processor (102c) and is then fed to a pulse distributor. An instruction speed (Vi) is compared by a comparator (CMU) with the upper feed speeds (VL, Vc) according to the machining state, and the instruction speed is limited to VL (Vc) when Vi > VL (Vc), and this decision is fed to a pulse distributor (103). The pulse distributor (103) outputs distribution pulses (Xp, Yp, Zp) according to the data (DELTAX, DELTAY, DELTAZ) from the processor (102c) and the speed from the comparator (CMU).
