Abstract:
In the present invention, a processor of an object recognition system, which is for recognizing a moving object that can move in an observed space observed by an observation device in a host vehicle, is configured so as to: match a three-dimensional dynamic map (Mt) that indicates the state of a mapping point cloud obtained by mapping a target present in the observed space and three-dimensional observation data (Dt) that indicates the state of an observed point cloud observed in the observed space; search, from the three-dimensional observation data (Dt), for an observed point (Pn) not present in the three-dimensional dynamic map (Mt) and an observed point (Pd) differing from mapping points in the three-dimensional dynamic map (Mt) as candidate points (Pc) for a moving object based on the matching; and identify the moving object on the basis of the candidate points (Pc).
