Abstract:
An object tracking device stores, for each region, information representing an area image of a subject in a first frame image, which is one of a plurality of frame images constituting a moving image, and stores a salient region of the subject. When the subject is lost, for each maximal value position in a visual saliency map corresponding to a second frame image, which is the frame image in which the subject has been lost, a recovery means of the object tracking device (1) estimates an area in which the respective regions of the subject are located when it is assumed that a salient region is located at the maximal value position, (2) calculates a similarity score on the basis of the degree of similarity of the area image for each region of the first frame image and the second frame image, and determines that the subject is located at the maximal value position having the greatest similarity score in the second frame image.
