Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide an object tracking method and apparatus, a device, and a storage medium. The method comprises: acquiring a target bounding box area from a video stream, the target bounding box area comprising a shielded candidate target object and/or a candidate target object having strong light; on the basis of feature information of the candidate target object comprised in the target bounding box area, determining an original target object matching the candidate target object from the video stream; and merging the candidate target object in the target bounding box area and the original target object to obtain a tracking result of a tracking number corresponding to the original target object. It is ensured that the shielded candidate target object and/or the candidate target object having strong light have the same tracking number as the matching original target object, stable long-term tracking of the original target object is performed on the original target object under the conditions of high shielding and day and night change, the accuracy of multi-object tracking is improved, the tracking continuity when the target is shielded and at night is ensured, and stable long-term tracking of the target is realized.
