Abstract:
The disclosed observation device (100) observes a target object (1) on the basis of incident light (2) therefrom. Said observation device (100) is provided with a transformation unit (104) and an image information generation unit (106). The transformation unit (104) transforms the incident light (2) into first transformed light using a first pupil function and also transforms the incident light (2) into second transformed light using a second pupil function. The image information generation unit (106) generates image information pertaining to the target object (1) on the basis of the first transformed light and the second transformed light. The second pupil function is preferably different from the first pupil function.
