Abstract:
A result acquisition unit (S120) repeatedly acquires measurement results from a periphery monitoring sensor that emits a probe wave into a probe range and measures the distance and horizontal bearing to a reflection point where the probe wave was reflected. A probability calculation unit (S220) calculates a detection probability for each reflection point according to the measurement results acquired by the result acquisition unit. A type determination unit (S250) determines the types of targets that the reflection points belong to according to the detection probabilities calculated by the probability detection unit.
