Abstract:
Provided is an occupant-left-unattended warning device comprising: a transmission/reception unit (11) which controls transmission by a sensor that transmits an electromagnetic wave in a cabin and which receives a reception signal based on a reflected wave of the electromagnetic wave received by the sensor; an occupant attribute estimation unit (12) that uses a first method to estimate, on the basis of the received reception signal, whether an occupant detected in the cabin is an occupant requiring a warning, determines whether the occupant can be confirmed to be an occupant requiring the warning, and outputs a result of the determination as a determination result; a supplemental determination unit (13) that, when the occupant cannot be confirmed to be an occupant requiring the warning, uses a second method different from the first method to supplementarily determines whether the occupant is an occupant requiring the warning and outputs a result of the supplemental determination as a supplemental determination result; a warning necessity determination unit (14) that determines the necessity of an occupant-left-unattended warning on the basis of the determination result or the supplemental determination result; and a warning output control unit (15) that controls a vehicle outside output device to issue a predetermined warning when the occupant-left-unattended warning is determined to be necessary.
