Abstract:
Provided in an embodiment of the present application are an offline charging record threshold control method and system based on the CUPS protocol. In the method, after a CP establishes a session, a maximum number of charging condition changes is carried in a message sent to a UP, the UP reports charging information to the CP according to a subscription condition or an instant query request sent by the CP, and calculates a number of charging condition changes, and if the calculated number is less than the maximum number of charging condition changes, a data usage amount continues to accumulate on the basis of an existing accumulated data usage amount; and if the calculated number is equal to the maximum number of charging condition changes, the UP clears the charging information and the number of data containers of the offline charging record at the local side. The technical solution according to the embodiment of the present application can prevent additional signaling between a CP and a UP caused by a threshold update, avoiding the problem in which the charging result in an offline charging record exceeds a threshold as a result of delayed update message interaction between the CP and the UP.
