Abstract:
This oil composition for electrical discharge machining is characterized by being obtained by incorporating an organic-acid metal salt into a base oil, the organic-acid metal salt being an organic acid salt of a metal having an electronegativity on Pauling's scale of 2 or less, and by having a volume resistivity at 80°C of 2×10-5 TΩ·m or greater and a kinematic viscosity at 40°C of 0.5-10 mm2/s.
