The present application relates to the technical field of air conditioning. Provided are an oil return control method and apparatus for an air conditioner, and an air conditioner. The oil return control method for an air conditioner comprises: acquiring the current solar electricity supply power of an air conditioner; and when the current solar electricity supply power does not reach the maximum oil return power of a compressor of the air conditioner, controlling the compressor to start and operate at the lowest frequency, and making, in a phased frequency-increase manner, the current operation frequency of the compressor reach a target oil return frequency for an oil return operation. By means of the present application, the oil return effect of a compressor upon starting can be improved in an application scenario where there is a blackout and the illumination capability is insufficient, and the compressor is protected, such that an air conditioner system stably operates, thereby ensuring the usage experience of a user.
