Abstract:
A polymerization catalyst for olefins including styrenic compounds, containing as one component a transition metal compound having two ligands such as a $g(b)-diketone, which comprises: (a) a transition metal compound of general formula (I), wherein M represents titanium, zirconium, hafnium or vanadium; Y?1� and Y?2� represent the same or different halogen atoms or C�1? to C�10? alkyl groups; and R?1�, R?2� and R?3� represent each hydrogen or a C�1? to C�10? hydrocarbon group, provided that at least one of them is hydrogen but not all of them are hydrogen at the same time, and (b) an organoaluminum compound, particularly aluminoxane.
