Abstract:
An operating panel (2) is provided with a touch position sensor (6) which outputs an electrical signal corresponding to a surface area of contact between a finger of a user and a switch (4), and a controller (C) into which the electrical signal from the touch position sensor (6) is input. The controller (C) determines that the finger of the user and the touch position sensor (6) are in contact with one another if a calculated value (Th) calculated on the basis of the electrical signal input from the touch position sensor (6) exceeds a preset first threshold (T1), and, on the basis of the calculated value (Th), sets a second threshold (T2) greater than the first threshold (T1) in accordance with the magnitude of the calculated value (Th), and determines that the touch position sensor (6) is in an operating state of being operated if the calculated value (Th) exceeds the second threshold (T2).
