Abstract:
A touch panel 1 serving as an operation detection device comprises: an electrostatic capacitance-type touch detection unit 2, which detects a false nail 6 (described below) applied to a nail 90 of an operating finger 9, or a conductive member 5 arranged on the nail 90 of the operating finger 9, and the pad 95 of the operating finger 9; and a control unit 4 which increases the sensitivity of the touch detection unit 2 so as to detect an operation that is performed in such a manner that the applied false nail 6 or the nail 90 of the operating finger 9 does not contact an operation surface 20 of the touch detection unit 2, when it is determined that a detection pattern 3 indicating a distribution pattern of the electrostatic capacitance detected by the touch detection unit 2 is a pattern based on detection of the pad 95 and the conductive member 5.
