Specifically, disclosed is an operation method of an electronic device, the method including the steps of: identifying a first operation mode of the electronic device currently operating in the electronic device, among preconfigured multiple operation modes of the electronic device; acquiring information on one or more external devices; identifying a first external device corresponding to the identified first operation mode from among one or more external devices on the basis of the information of one or more external devices; and displaying identification information for the identified first external device on a display of the electronic device corresponding to the identified operation mode.
