Abstract:
Provided are an ophthalmic device and a method for controlling an ophthalmic device with which it is possible to reliably preventing collision of an eye property acquisition unit with the face of a subject. The ophthalmic device comprises: a device body (measurement head (14)) including a first eye property acquisition unit (auto ref-keratometer (14A)) and a second eye property acquisition unit (contactless tonometer (14B)); a first alignment detection unit (alignment detection unit (40)) that detects a first relative position of the subject's eye with respect to the first eye property acquisition unit; a first alignment control unit (alignment control unit (42)) that performs first alignment; a forward movement control unit (48) that performs forward movement for moving the device body forward; a temporary stop position setting unit (46) that, on the basis of a detection result from the first alignment detection unit, sets a temporary stop position for the device body that is moved forward; and a contactless sensor (capacitive sensor (26)) that is capable of contactlessly detecting the approach of the second eye property acquisition unit to the face of the subject.
