Abstract:
The disclosed optical add-drop multiplexer (OADM) device is provided with: an optical attenuator (73) that attenuates an optical signal split by an optical demultiplexer (71); a modulation circuit (75) that uses the optical attenuator (73) and superimposes a transmission port ID number that corresponds to the optical signal; an optical receiver detection circuit (84) that detects the optical level of an optical signal received through a reception port; a demodulation circuit (85) that extracts the ID number from the optical level detected by the optical receiver detection circuit (84); an ID number management unit (91) that determines whether or not the ID number extracted by the demodulation circuit (85) corresponds to a set ID number; and a notification unit (9) that notifies of an optical patch cable (14) misconnection if the ID number management unit (91) determines that the ID number does not correspond.
