Abstract:
A biological compact disc (BCD) analyzer that comprises an optical disc drive and a controller (312) into which is placed a field programmable gate array (FPGA) (330) where all the digital logic is performed. The analyzer takes advantage of enhanced signals from segmented detector to analyze biological samples efficiently.
