Abstract:
A first optical combiner 4A comprises: a plurality of first input optical fibers 10 each including a core 11, a first cladding 12a that surrounds the core 11 and has a lower refractive index than the refractive index of the core 11, a second cladding 12b that surrounds the first cladding 12a and has a lower refractive index than the refractive index of the first cladding 12a, and a third cladding 12c that surrounds the second cladding 12b and has a lower refractive index than the refractive index of the second cladding 12b; and a first bridge fiber 20 having an incident surface 26 that is optically coupled to the core 11 of the plurality of first input optical fibers 10, and an emission surface 27 that emits light obtained by multiplexing of the light entering from the first input optical fibers 10.
