Abstract:
This optical connection component (4) is for respectively guiding a plurality of light beams emitted from an emission-end surface (101) of a multi-core fiber (100) to a plurality of single-core fibers (200), the optical connection component (4) including: an entry surface (41) configured such that the plurality of light beams which have been emitted from the emission-end surface (101) separate from each other going toward the plurality of single-core fibers (200), and such that the respective beam diameters of the plurality of light beams expand; and an emission surface (42) configured such that the plurality of light beams going toward the plurality of single-core fibers (200) through the entry surface (41) are parallel to the axial direction of the multi-core fiber (100), wherein the emission-end surface (101) of the multi-core fiber (100) inclines with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axial direction of the multi-core fiber (100), and the plurality of light beams emitted from the emission-end surface (101) propagate in the direction of inclination with respect to the axial direction of the multi-core fiber (100).
