Abstract:
An optical connection component (10) according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with at least three cores (17) for transmitting an optical signal along a first direction (D1). The optical connection component (10) has a first surface (11) that extends in a second direction (D2) that intersects with the first direction (D1) and in a third direction (D3) that intersects with both the first direction (D1) and the second direction (D2), and a second surface (12) that extends in the second direction (D2) and the third direction (D3) and is parallel the first surface (11) along the first direction (D1). The cores (17) extend along the first direction (D1) from the first surface (11) to the second surface (12). In each of the first surface (11) and the second surface (12), the three or more cores are arranged so as not to be lined up on a single straight line. A core arrangement (P1) defined by the three or more cores (17) in the first surface (11) differs from a core arrangement (P2) defined by the three or more cores (17) in the second surface (12).
