Abstract:
The present invention provides an optical connector (1) in which first and second plugs (10, 20) each have at least one ferrule (12, 24), and first and second housings (11, 21) for accommodating the ferrule (12, 24), the second housing (21) has an adapter part (22) detachably connected by an internal locking structure (233, 224), and a built-in plug part (23), the ferrule (24) is attached to the built-in plug part (23) in a state in which the distal-end part of the ferrule (24) protrudes outward from the built-in plug part (23), and the distal-end part is accommodated inside the adapter part (22) in a state in which the adapter part (22) and the built-in plug part (23) are connected, and, in a state in which the two plugs (10, 20) are fitted with each other, the first housing (11) is mutually locked to the adapter part (22) of the second housing (21) via an external locking mechanism (113, 223), and the internal locking structure is more difficult to unlock than the external locking mechanism.
