Abstract:
An optical conversion device according to the present invention comprises a wavelength conversion section in which a plurality of phosphor regions are disposed, a drive unit, and a control unit. The plurality of phosphor regions include a first phosphor region that emits, in response to irradiation with excitation light, fluorescence having a first wavelength spectrum, and a second phosphor region that emits, in response to irradiation with excitation light, fluorescence having a second wavelength spectrum differing from the first wavelength spectrum. The drive unit changes an irradiated region, onto which the excitation light is radiated, in the plurality of phosphor regions. The control unit controls the drive unit so as to set the irradiated region in the plurality of phosphor regions by changing the irradiated region in the plurality of phosphor regions via the driving of the drive unit and then stopping the driving of the drive unit.
