Title:
OPTICAL RECORDING/REPRODUCTION DEVICE AND METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/046066
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An optical recording/reproduction device according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with an end position detection unit, a postscript start position setting unit, an angle information detection unit, a first timing generation unit, a first recording control unit, a second timing generation unit, and a second recording control unit. When recording first data, the first recording control unit starts from the position of a track that is recorded one track back from the end position of the first data and records a first recording pattern comprising marks and spaces of lengths that differ from those of the first data along the track of a recording layer on the basis of a first recording timing signal, recording said first recording pattern intermittently in the circumferential direction only in the aforementioned one track. When recording second data, the second recording control device records the second data after recording a second recording pattern comprising marks and spaces of lengths that differ from those of the the second data along the track of the recording layer from a recording start position across a number of tracks equal to or greater than two tracks in accordance with a second recording timing signal, recording said second recording pattern intermittently in the circumferential direction.
