Abstract:
Provided is an optical display device, comprising: an optical display device panel and a polarizing plate laminated on the optical display device panel, wherein the polarizing plate comprises a polarizer and a retardation film laminate provided between the optical display device panel and the polarizer, the absorption axis of the polarizer is oriented at 40° to 50° or 130° to 140° to the longitudinal side direction of the optical display device panel, the retardation film laminate has an in-plane retardation of 140 nm to 200 nm and a biaxiality degree of more than 0.5 and less than 1.0 at a wavelength of 550 nm, and the ground axis of the retardation film laminate is at +15° to +30° or -30° to -15° with the absorption axis of the polarizer.
