Abstract:
An optical encoder (200) and an electronic device (1200). The optical encoder (200) comprises: a rotating component (202); an optical transmitter (201) for transmitting an incident light signal (2001) to the rotating component (202), the rotating component (202) having a rotation axis (204), which passes through the geometric center thereof, and an optical detection region (2021), which is arranged around the surface of the rotating component (202) facing outward, with an included angle (a) existing between a tangent plane of the optical detection region (2021) and the rotation axis (204), the included angle (a) being an acute angle; and an optical receiver (203) for receiving a detected light signal (2002) after the incident light signal (2001) passes through the optical detection region (2021), and then generating an electrical signal according to the detected light signal (2002) so as to determine motion information of the rotating component (202). The included angle (a), which is an acute angle, exists between the tangent plane of the optical detection region (2021) on the surface of the rotating component (202) and the rotation axis (204), so that the part of a light beam emitted from the optical transmitter (201) having the greatest energy is reflected by the optical detection region (2021) and then received by the optical receiver (203), which prevents the waste of optical signals, improves the light utilization rate of the optical encoder (200), and reduces the power consumption of the optical encoder (200).
