Abstract:
An optical cutting device of the present invention is provided with: a device body in which a cover part is rotatably mounted to a base part, the device body being capable of gripping an optical fiber by means of a lower-side gripping portion provided on a base part side and an upper-side gripping portion provided on a cover part side; a movable blade member which, starting from the base part side, scratches the surface of the optical fiber gripped between the lower-side gripping portion and the upper-side gripping portion; a pressing part which presses the optical fiber to cut the optical fiber scratched by the blade member. The at least one lower-side gripping portion is configured from a gripping member separate from the base part, and is rotatable around a rotation point. A rotation point of the upper-side gripping portion paired with the at least one lower-side gripping portion is concentric with the rotation point of the at least one lower-side gripping portion.
