An optical fiber sensing system according to the present disclosure is provided with: an optical fiber (10); a reception unit (21) that receives, from the optical fiber (10), an optical signal including an environment pattern indicating the state of an environment near the optical fiber (10); and a detection unit (22) that detects occurrence of power outage on the basis of a change of the environment pattern.
