Abstract:
The present invention provides an optical film which enables lower reflectance, higher brightness, reduced thickness, and improved color reproducibility of a display device, and a display device using the same. This optical film is characterized by comprising a transparent substrate, a colored layer stacked on one surface side of the transparent substrate and containing coloring matter, and a functional layer stacked on the other surface side of the transparent substrate, the coloring matter containing a first color material having a maximum absorption wavelength within a range of 470-530 nm and having an absorption spectrum half-value width of 15-45 nm, and a second color material having a maximum absorption wavelength within a range of 560-620 nm and having an absorption spectrum half-value width of 15-55 nm, and the ultraviolet shielding rate conforming to JIS L 1925 of the transparent substrate being 85% or more.
